Claude Code Training and Rollout for Engineering Teams
Claude Code training and rollout for engineering teams moving from personal accounts to a managed setup. We choose the plan, deploy managed settings, permissions and sandboxing, write shared CLAUDE.md standards and run workshops on your own repositories. Anthropic or your cloud provider bills usage directly.
What a Claude Code Rollout Covers
Six areas, so every engineer runs the AI coding agent under the same settings and standards, with a runbook for your admins.
Plan, Seats and Sign-In
Team or Enterprise seats, Console API keys, or Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud, with sign-in locked to your organization.
Managed Settings
Server-managed or MDM-delivered settings that every terminal, IDE and desktop session reads.
Permissions and Sandboxing
Deny, ask and allow rules, bypass mode turned off, and the OS-level sandbox with approved network domains.
Approved MCP Servers
A managed MCP allowlist, with internal tools reached through a self-hosted MCP gateway.

How Your Team Buys Claude Code
Claude Code is included in all paid Claude plans, per Anthropic's pricing page. Claude Code for teams can also run on API billing or through your cloud account.
| Option | Billing | Sign-in | Admin and cost tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claude Team plan | Standard $20 and Premium $100 per seat per month billed annually ($25 and $125 monthly), for 2 to 150 seats | SSO | Server-managed settings, spend controls and the analytics dashboard |
| Claude Enterprise | Self-serve at $20 per seat per month billed annually, 20 seat minimum, plus usage at API rates | SSO, SCIM, domain capture and role-based access | Adds audit logs, the Compliance API and the Analytics API |
| Claude Console (API) | Pay as you go per token | API keys, with a role limited to Claude Code keys | Console dashboard with spend per user |
| Amazon Bedrock | Pay as you go through AWS | AWS credentials under an IAM policy | AWS Cost Explorer and CloudTrail |
| Google Cloud's Agent Platform, formerly Vertex AI | Pay as you go through Google Cloud | GCP credentials with roles/aiplatform.user | GCP Billing and Cloud Audit Logs |
Prices are from claude.com/pricing in October 2026, before taxes. On Bedrock or Google Cloud, we enable the Claude models in your account, set CLAUDE_CODE_USE_BEDROCK or CLAUDE_CODE_USE_VERTEX, and pin model versions, as Anthropic's setup guides advise. Teams on per-token billing can route Claude Code through our self-hosted LLM gateway, one place for credentials, budgets and usage logs. Our Claude Team and Enterprise rollout covers Claude for the rest of the company.
Managed Settings, Permissions and the Claude Code Sandbox
Claude Code security for a team rests on settings that every terminal, IDE and desktop session reads and engineers can't override.
Claude Code managed settings
On Team and Enterprise, server-managed settings from the Claude admin console reach every client at startup and hourly. Anthropic calls them a client-side control, so we also deliver managed-settings.json through your MDM.
Claude Code permissions
Rules run deny, then ask, then allow. We deny secrets and production paths, ask before pushes and deploys, and set allowManagedPermissionRulesOnly so only managed rules apply.
Bypass mode turned off
The --dangerously-skip-permissions flag skips permission prompts, and Anthropic advises it only in isolated containers or VMs. We set disableBypassPermissionsMode in managed settings for every engineer.
Claude Code sandbox
The sandbox, off by default, puts an OS-level boundary around shell commands. We turn it on, limit network access to your approved domains and set allowManagedDomainsOnly.
We also deploy a managed MCP allowlist and route internal tools through a self-hosted MCP gateway that logs every call. On Claude Code privacy, Anthropic states it does not train models on code or prompts sent under commercial terms unless a customer opts in. Its separate Claude Security product, formerly Claude Code Security, scans codebases for vulnerabilities and is in public beta for Claude Enterprise customers. Our AI acceptable use policy service writes the engineer-facing rules each setting backs.
Shared CLAUDE.md Standards, Skills, Plugins and Hooks
Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md at the start of every session, so each repository's conventions travel with the code.
CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md
A committed CLAUDE.md holds build and test commands, architecture notes and review checklists. Claude Code reads AGENTS.md when no CLAUDE.md exists, so one file can serve several coding agents.
An organization-wide CLAUDE.md
IT deploys a managed CLAUDE.md to every machine for company standards. Anthropic treats it as guidance and managed settings as enforcement, so we pair the two.
A team plugin of skills
Skills are SKILL.md folders Claude loads when relevant or runs as commands such as /review-pr. We package skills, subagents, hooks and MCP servers into one plugin, force-installed through managed settings.
Hooks for tests and formatting
We add hooks that run your formatter after each edit and your linter or tests before a commit, and limit hooks to the managed set with allowManagedHooksOnly.
Claude Code Workshops on Your Own Repositories
Each Claude Code workshop is AI training for developers in your own codebase, inside the managed settings and team plugin your engineers will use.
Developers
Claude Code onboarding: plan mode, reading diffs before accepting them, updating CLAUDE.md, running team skills, and keeping secrets out of prompts.
Tech leads
Writing team skills and subagents, review checklists in CLAUDE.md, reviewing AI-written pull requests, and coaching from the analytics dashboard.
Platform and DevOps
Claude Code in GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD, @claude mentions on issues and pull requests, Code Review on Team and Enterprise, and OIDC federation for Bedrock or Google Cloud.
Each track works on real tickets from your backlog, and admins get a separate Claude Code admin session. Our AI training for employees covers the rest of the company. When you want a Claude Code expert building alongside your team after the AI coding training, you can hire AI developers through us.
Claude Code Analytics, Usage Dashboard and OpenTelemetry Monitoring
Anthropic's dashboard and Claude Code telemetry in your monitoring stack show how engineers use the AI agent.
On Team and Enterprise, Admins and Owners get the Claude Code usage dashboard with lines of code accepted, suggestion accept rate, daily active users, sessions and CSV export. With the Claude GitHub app, contribution metrics, in public beta, count merged pull requests written with Claude Code.
For Claude Code monitoring in your own tools, we turn on OpenTelemetry export through managed settings, so every session sends metrics and events over OTLP, with Prometheus for metrics. Prompt content stays redacted by default. We build a dashboard per team next to your delivery metrics.
Sessions, lines of code, pull requests, commits, cost, tokens, edit decisions and active time, each an OpenTelemetry metric under the claude_code prefix.
The Same Rollout for Codex, GitHub Copilot and Cursor
Teams running more than one AI coding agent get the same policy, shared instructions and workshops for each.
OpenAI Codex
Codex reads AGENTS.md before doing any work, per OpenAI's docs, so Codex and Claude Code share one instructions file per repository.
GitHub Copilot
GitHub's Copilot coding agent supports AGENTS.md custom instructions. Our GitHub Copilot training uses the same repositories and review rules as the Claude Code tracks.
Cursor
Claude Code's VS Code extension also installs in Cursor. For teams standardizing on Cursor, see our Cursor Teams and Enterprise rollout.
Our AI enablement service covers companies running several AI assistants under one policy and one adoption report.
A Private Coding Assistant on Open Models You Host
When a contract or regulation keeps source code on your network, we deploy a self-hosted AI coding assistant on open-weight models next to Claude Code.
The assistant is Continue, an Apache 2.0 open-source coding agent for VS Code and JetBrains IDEs. We connect it to open-weight coding models through a private Ollama deployment on your servers and turn off its anonymous telemetry, so prompts and code stay inside your network. Claude Code can cover most repositories while the self-hosted assistant handles restricted ones.
What Shapes the Engagement
Every Claude Code rollout we scope starts from seven factors: engineer count, how you buy Claude Code, your identity provider and device management, Git platforms and CI, regulated code, the MCP tools engineers need, and coding agents already in use. We quote against that scope after the strategy session, where we also answer schedule questions.
Your answers set the scope.
We confirm each factor with you before we propose anything.
Frequently Asked Questions on Claude Code Training
In Manual mode, Claude Code starts read-only, asks before it edits files or runs commands, and enforces deny rules ahead of allow rules. For a team, we lock these controls in managed settings, turn on the sandbox, approve MCP servers and train engineers to review each change, as Anthropic's security guide advises.
It starts Claude Code in bypassPermissions mode, which skips permission prompts. Anthropic says to use it only in isolated containers or VMs without internet access. Admins disable it for everyone by setting permissions.disableBypassPermissionsMode to disable in managed settings.
Under commercial terms, which cover Team, Enterprise, the API and cloud platforms such as Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic states it does not train generative models on code or prompts sent to Claude Code unless the customer chooses to provide data. Standard retention for commercial users is 30 days, per Anthropic's data usage page.
Claude Code is included in all paid Claude plans. Per claude.com/pricing, Team seats start at $20 per month billed annually, and Enterprise self-serve is $20 per seat plus usage at API rates. Anthropic bills seats directly, and we scope our setup and Claude Code training after the strategy session.
