Self-Hosted AI for Recruiting Firms, Built on Your ATS and CRM

AI recruiting software from NeuralChainAI runs as a self-hosted layer on the ATS and CRM your recruiters already use, such as Bullhorn, Loxo, Recruit CRM or Greenhouse. Search across your own candidate database, matching trained on your placement history, shortlist drafts and audit logs all run on your servers or in your own cloud account, and so do the models and the candidate index.

Outcomes

What AI Recruiting Software Does Inside Your ATS

Six jobs the self-hosted layer takes on for staffing, search and recruiting firms, each connected to the system of record your team already works in.

Search your own database

Recruiters ask in plain language, such as "senior payroll lead, SAP, open to contract, within 30 miles", and get ranked candidates from the ATS, past submissions and interview notes, each linked to its record.

Matching trained on your placements

A matching model learns from the firm's placement history: who was submitted, interviewed and placed for which roles. It ranks new candidates against open jobs and shows the factors behind each score.

Shortlist and submittal drafts

Candidate summaries, submittal write-ups and formatted resumes drafted from the ATS record and interview notes, ready for the recruiter to edit and send.

Clean candidate records

CVs and profile exports parsed into structured ATS fields, skills normalised to one taxonomy and duplicate records flagged, so search and matching run on clean data.

Bias-audit logging

Every score and ranking is logged with its inputs, so the firm can run impact-ratio checks and hand an independent auditor the data a NYC Local Law 144 bias audit needs. A recruiter reviews every shortlist.

Runs on your infrastructure

Open-weight models served with vLLM or Ollama, self-hosted embeddings and the vector index run on the firm's servers or in its own AWS, Azure or GCP account, with access mapped to ATS user roles.

Why Self-Hosted

Why Recruiting Firms Choose Self-Hosted AI Recruiting Software

Bullhorn Amplify, Loxo, hireEZ, Recruit CRM, Recruiterflow, Manatal and Gem offer AI sourcing, matching and outreach as hosted services on the vendor's cloud, priced per user or on request. Recruiting firms choose a self-hosted layer when one of these applies:

1 Candidate data, client briefs and placement history processed on infrastructure the firm controls.
2 AI that works across the ATS and CRM the firm already runs, so recruiters keep their current workflow.
3 A matching model trained on the firm's own placement history and owned by the firm.
The Self-Hosted Answer

A self-hosted AI layer connected to your ATS and CRM.

Search, matching, shortlist drafts and audit logs in one deployment, connected through your ATS vendor's API. The models and the candidate index run on your servers or in your cloud account, so client and candidate data stays inside the firm's own environment.

The 7 Capabilities We Build

The pieces of a self-hosted AI recruiting stack, from the ATS connector through to logged rankings a recruiter can review.

1

ATS and CRM connectors

Read and write-back through the Bullhorn, Loxo, Recruit CRM or Greenhouse API: candidates, contacts, jobs, submissions, notes and placements. Sync runs on a schedule or on webhook events, and write-back is limited to the fields the firm approves.

2

Resume parsing and enrichment

CVs in PDF and Word are parsed on a self-hosted model into structured fields: titles, employers, dates, skills, certifications and locations. Skills are normalised to one taxonomy, and likely duplicate records are flagged for a recruiter to merge.

3

Self-hosted embeddings and candidate index

Embedding models such as BGE-M3 or Qwen3-Embedding run on your hardware, and the vector index (pgvector, Qdrant or Weaviate) sits beside them. Hybrid search combines hard filters such as location, rate and work authorisation with semantic matching on experience.

4

A matching model trained on placement history

We train a ranking model on the firm's own submissions, interviews and placements, and test it on held-out past roles before recruiters see it. Each score shows the factors behind it, and recruiters' accept and reject decisions feed the next retraining round.

5

Drafting with citations

An open-weight LLM such as Llama, Qwen or Mistral, served with vLLM, drafts candidate summaries, submittals and client updates from the ATS record. Each statement links to the note or CV section it came from, so the recruiter checks it in one click.

6

Bias-audit logging and human review

Rankings, scores and recruiter decisions are logged with timestamps and inputs. That record supports the selection-rate and impact-ratio calculations an independent auditor runs under NYC Local Law 144, and the notice, explanation and human-review steps in Colorado's SB 26-189, which takes effect on January 1, 2027.

7

Deployment on the firm's infrastructure

The full stack runs on your own servers, in your AWS, Azure or GCP account, or in a dedicated tenant we provision in the region you choose. Access follows your ATS user roles and SSO groups, and every query is logged.

When to Choose a Self-Hosted Build over a Hosted Platform

Bullhorn Amplify, Loxo, hireEZ, Recruit CRM and Gem bundle AI into hosted recruiting platforms, and they suit firms ready to run the whole desk inside one vendor's system. Firms choose a self-hosted layer on their existing ATS for these reasons:

Candidate data on your infrastructure — models, embeddings and the candidate index run where your IT team already controls access.
Your ATS stays the system of record — AI connects through the vendor's API, so recruiters keep their current screens and habits.
Matching that learns your desk — a model trained on your own placements, owned by the firm.
Audit-ready logs — every score, ranking and recruiter decision recorded for bias audits and client questions.
Steady economics — a one-time build plus hosting and an optional flat retainer, so cost stays steady as you add recruiters.
Managed operation — we handle deployment, model updates and connector changes alongside your IT team.

A self-hosted layer gives recruiters search, matching and drafting on top of the ATS they already know, with the models and data on the firm's own infrastructure. The firm pays once for the build, then hosting and an optional flat retainer.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions on AI Recruiting Software

AI recruiting software uses language models and machine learning to search candidate databases, parse resumes, rank candidates against jobs and draft outreach or submittals. Most products bundle these features into a hosted ATS or sourcing platform. NeuralChainAI builds them as a self-hosted layer on the ATS a firm already runs, so the models and candidate data stay on the firm's own servers or cloud account.

We build connectors for Bullhorn, Loxo, Recruit CRM and Greenhouse through each vendor's API, and we scope any other system with an open API during the strategy session. The connector reads candidates, jobs, submissions, notes and placements, and writes back only the fields the firm approves.

The workflows overlap: search, matching, outreach drafts and screening support. The differences are where processing runs and who owns the model. Hosted platforms process data on the vendor's cloud and price per user; Bullhorn's pricing page lists its Starter plan at $99 per user per month and quotes Amplify separately. A self-hosted layer runs on the firm's infrastructure, works across the ATS the firm already has, and is priced as a one-time build plus hosting.

Local Law 144 requires employers and employment agencies that use an automated employment decision tool in New York City to have an independent bias audit within one year before use, publish a summary of the results and give candidates notice at least 10 business days before use, according to the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. The system logs every score, ranking and recruiter decision so your auditor can calculate selection rates and impact ratios. A recruiter reviews every shortlist, and compliance decisions stay with your counsel.

Three things: the number of ATS records and documents to index, the capabilities in the first release (search, matching, drafting or voice screening), and the hosting model, either GPUs on your own servers or capacity in your cloud account. The build is a one-time cost, followed by hosting and an optional flat retainer. A strategy session turns your numbers into a directional estimate.
